Belle Allure

Diamant, or the art of changing your life.

Behind Belle Allure there is one woman: Akekou Gouamene, whom everyone here calls Diamant. Her path is like no other and that is exactly what you feel when you walk through the door.

The corporate years

For years, Diamant was an accountant. Sanofi, Dior: major accounts, columns of figures that always balanced, a solid career many envied. On paper, everything was fine. In reality, something was missing. It just wasn't her.

The urge to care

What called her was people. She wanted to start her own business caring for the elderly a job built on presence, simple gestures and everyday trust. One detail stopped her short: she didn't know how to iron. Hard to look after someone at home without knowing how to look after their clothes.

Learning the craft

So she went to learn where the craft lives: with her aunt, at Belle Allure. The iron, the steam, the patience. Recognising a fabric by touch, sensing when a fibre has had enough heat, taming a stubborn crease. Know-how you don't get from a manual only by standing next to someone who has it.

The turning point

Very quickly, no one saw an apprentice any more. The way she welcomed people, listened, and said plainly what could be saved and what couldn't: customers came back, then brought others. The shop's revenue followed. What she thought was a detour turned out to be her calling.

Belle Allure today

Diamant now runs the shop at 43 Cours des Roches, in Noisiel. The same eye for detail, the same straight talk and now online booking, so you never queue. The tools have changed; the standard still comes from the same place.

She came to learn how to iron. She left with a craft.
